Shaykh Ali Elsayed (Toronto, Canada)
Shaykh Ali Elsayed is the appointed representative of Shaykh Muhammad Adil in the United States and Canada, and he is also a member of the Canadian Council of Imams. He teaches Islamic spirituality on behalf of his shaykh, and conducts weekly dhikr circles. Shaykh Ali is also an author, an accomplished nasheed artist, vocalist, and writer of devotional poetry - having produced multiple Arabic and English Nasheed Albums.
Shaykh Ali was born and raised in Lebanon. He moved to the US in the early nineties where he met his spiritual master in the Sufi Naqshbandi path, Shaykh Nazim Adil, and his deputy in North America, Shaykh Hisham Kabbani. He spent over 20 years under the tutelage of such great teachers in Tasawuff (Sufism). For over 20 years Shaykh Ali accompanied them on their travels all over the world, spreading the teachings of the classical Islam of Ahle Sunnah wal Jama'ah, leading and conducting dhikr circles all over the world and singing the love poetry of Sufism.
Shaykh Ali is also an author of Islamic poetry, Islamic children's books and has translated Mawlid ad-Dayba'i and Dala’il Al-khayrat from Arabic into English. During his travels, shaykh Ali Elsayed took part in many interfaith gatherings and meetings. He wrote nasheed which highlights what is common between the monotheistic faith, and the common truths all human beings share.
Shaykh Ali currently resides in Toronto, Canada, and has been appointed to travel and spread the teachings of Islamic spirituality, love, and tolerance in the US and Canada.

Appointment of Shaykh Ali Elsayed
In 2019, during his visit to Turkey to meet with Shaykh Mehmet Adil, Shaykh Ali Elsayed was officially appointed as Shaykh Mehmet’s representative and wakil in North America. This significant appointment entrusted Shaykh Ali with the responsibility of traveling on behalf of Shaykh Mehmet to spread the teachings of the Naqshbandi Tariqah and instill the love of our beloved Prophet, Sayyidina Muhammad (peace be upon him).

Know Your Prophet Centre
In 2019, The Know Your Prophet Centre Was Established by Shaykh Ali Elsayed, under the spiritual guidance of Shaykh Muhammad Adil. The vision being to establish a community of spiritual seekers to know the Divine and His beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
"The Story of how the "Know Your Prophet Centre" came about, is the story of my spiritual journey to find taste and meaning in my life...
...I was born in Lebanon as a Muslim, and I practiced my faith as everyone else did, but I still felt an emptiness inside me. I also noticed that the transformative power of real faith was not present amongst the practicing Muslims in my town. We practiced our faith, but it did not make us better human beings. I knew people who were morally corrupt, while at the same time they considered themselves to be very religious Muslims.
In my search for meaning and taste, I came across the Sufi Muslims, and I was lucky to have met one of the great Sufi Masters of our time, Mawlana shaykh Nazim Al-Haqqani (Q). Through following this great soul, I tasted the sweetness of faith for the first time. Shaykh Nazim was a staunch lover and follower of Sayyidina Muhammad (PBUH). He followed his way outwardly and inwardly. Shaykh Nazim taught me that spirituality and love are intertwined, you can not find one without the other., and that for people to have real transformative faith, it is not enough to perform the outer obligations of Islam, they have to fall in love with the beloved of Allah, Sayyidina Muhammad (PBUH), and they have to take him as their role model.
He once said, "The most beneficial knowledge in today's world is to teach people about their Prophet (PBUH)". I truly believe in those words, because I have witnessed the effects of knowing, loving, and following sayyidna Muhammad in my own life.
Through this project, we hope to become the means for people to have a fulfilling spiritual life. That is what we wish to accomplish with Know Your Prophet Centre."
